This afternoon, while looking at various textbook definitions for oppressive regime types, I noticed that the word Fascism returns no results whatsoever.
Every other word, from Autocracy, via Despotism, to Totalitarianism is represented with a clear, concise definition.
Fascism? Nope. Nothing at all… As far as Google Dictionary is concerned, the word doesn’t exist. This is both surprising and troubling, given that – as a word – Fascism is both poignant and politically relevant.
